Heyahhh,
And so the time has come to move on with my former job, Planned companies.. How did I find my job in Olume? So, I found this job on indeed.. it was a front desk position which I really thought would really like a front desk but it’s different. I applied because I am really desperate of looking for a job since I haven’t worked after I got furloughed at swissport last March of 2020.. I am happy I was able to find a job before the year 2020 ends, I didn’t looked for a job right away because I was scared with all the spiking of virus. I am scared for me since I have asthma and for my papa and this virus COVID-19 really scares me of how can it do to oneself, especially a lot of people are dying, younger age. My age mostly.. and so I got the guts for me to find work and be able to look for jobs, non stop around November since we are running out of edd and it will expire on March. I took the time and the chance to find work since I am not really doing anything for the last 8 months of 2020, I had the courage and strength to get back in my track and apply.. and so I see this job online on indeed, and this HR lady left me a voicemail and when I called her back she did a on the spot interview with me on the phone, and when I knew that it was gonna be front desk. I was happy, Thank God! And then after a couple of days. Juan called me for interview on the phone.. and then a couple of days after that I started. It was scary for me because new job, I will have to adjust all over again but I am happy with the experience and the opportunity.. my shift was 6pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday.. and so I started Dec 20,2020.. I always pray to God to keep me safe during my shift, away from COVID-19, that I will not get any of this virus..
My shift in Olume is actually easy, I only got trained one day with Stacey.. and then after that the next day, I did it all alone.. it’s really an easy shift.. Thank God! So, basically you watched the door and sit down in the front desk.. it is really like a front desk but with security and patrolling the vicinity, more on security type of thing, since it’s a residential property. You are just really there to make sure no one comes in without a key, no complains, homeless and all.. I come in at 6pm and then right after that I do deliver packages in the mailroom, delivering packages is good for me because it takes my time.. and time is really running other than just sitting down in front but sometimes packages are heavy.. that’s the only thing I don’t like, after that I go back in the front desk and opens and welcomes the door for food deliveries and write the apartment numbers in the iPad, and then just sits my entire shift, before I go home and my shift ends. We do patrol the vicinity make sure everything is okay and well. No complains, no homeless coming inside the building.. and then after that I go back in the front and watch the door.. I love this job because no one is really around to watch you, but it gets boring most of the time, like what I am doing right now, I am actually writing this blog in olume’s iPad while on my shift.. HAHAHA there’s nothing else to do. Haha. It is really an easy job, I am the type of person that when it comes to work, I want it to be past faced, and encountering people as well, like what I do at the hotel and the airport. I just don’t want to sit and watch the door and patrolling though NOW! I have the experience of it because of Olume. THANK YOU OLUME!!!! THANK YOU LORD.. I hope one day when I would badly need a job, I would gladly still take this and hopefully they would still accept me back. Juan the manager is really nice. He is so laid back and the same as my age aswell. “27”
Why would I had to leave Olume or planned companies?
Because I got hired at Citibank, San Bruno, and I prayed to God that if he will give me another job. I will move on and leave this one. I prayed and ask his guidance and to what is better for me. And then here right away, an answered prayer. THANK YOU LORD SO MUCH!! You are the reason of all this, of all of my achievements and blessings in life.. though I don’t want to leave Olume because of the easy job to it. I really have to because of my Monday to Friday training at Citibank, starting from 9:30am to 4;30pm which would really affect my EDD hours and my no days for me aswell. If I keep working in Olume. So I don’t want to mess that up and that is the reason why..
